 ABOUT SHERIDAN

Sheridan Merrick (she/her) is a proud hyphenated artist: a writer-composer-performer-director-dramaturg, if you will, who harnsesses the power of gathering to create soul-touching story experiences. Originally from Baltimore City and now based in Philadelphia, Sheridan crafts stories which work to embody their values not only in content, but in form -- and in the processes which create these. Exchanging traditional hierarchies for earnest collaboration, Sheridan is a team member who listens, prods, and at her best, inspires. Her original immersive theatre piece Project Sunshine (directed by Gene Farbe) was produced this fall at the Perch Studio and was a recipient of the 2023 Leeway Art & Change grant. Her original musical Red & Black (co-written with Nick Hatcher and David Thomas) will be seen this spring in Theatre On the Verge's New Musical Festival She acts as Education Manager at Theatre Horizon.
